Kids Jiu Jitsu Program
Our Kids Jiu Jitsu program is designed to develop mentally and physically strong martial artists. We know how important it is to develop good habits in children as early as possible.
Our Program will encourage hard work, respect for others and give kids the ability to work through tough situations and become comfortable being uncomfortable.
This will not only prepare them for Jiu Jitsu and self defence, but give them the characteristics they need to thrive outside of the academy.

NOGI JIU JITSU
Nogi Jiu Jitsu is a mixture of wrestling and submissions. For this reason many people call it submission wrestling.
In this sport, athletes learn to wrestle, pin and submit their opponents.
The sport is fast paced, full of scrambles and exciting to watch.
Kids Will Learn:
- Wrestling (takedowns/scrambles)
- Sweeps (going from bottom to top position)
- Passing (playing from top position)
- Submissions (finishing/tapping their opponent)
- Guards (playing from their back)
People participate in NOGI wearing a rashguard/tee shirt and a pair of shorts.

GI JIU JITSU
Gi Jiu Jitsu is the traditional form of Brazlilian Jiu Jitsu.
It has the same goal as NOGI, dominating the ground fight and finding a submission. It is just done in a very different way.
Gi Jiu Jitsu utilizes grips on the Kimono to control, move and sweep your partner. Some chokes use the Kimono in order to submit your partner as well.
Kids Will Learn:
- Wrestling (takedowns/scrambles)
- Sweeps (going from bottom to top position)
- Passing (playing from top position)
- Submissions (finishing/tapping their opponent)

Gi Jiu Jitsu is done wearing the Kimono and kids will also wear a belt to signify their rank in the sport.
